Bicycle Training for Adult Beginners
In our bicycle school for adults in Munich, anyone can learn to ride a bike. Every year, about 120 people between 16 and 70 years old start cycling with us.

Everything that you need to know about our Cycling Class:
- We practice on two safe training grounds without car traffic. Courses take place at Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest) or Riem. Both places are very easy to reach by subway.
- We offer courses on weekends and evenings during the week in small groups (max. 10 participants). The course lasts 12 hours.
- This course is only open to persons 16 years of age and older. We offer private lessons for children. For inquiries, please contact radfahrschule@adfc-muenchen.de.
- We practise with the school's training bicycles. Please do not bring a bike to class.
- Our courses are led by two women or a woman and a man.
- If you have physical limitations and are not sure if you should learn to ride a bike: please talk to your doctor beforehand.
- The language in the course is German, some of the trainers also speak English. Do not worry: We always have participants from different countries, who help each other understand the language.
- The course costs €120,- . If you are unemployed, receiving citizen's allowance (Bürgergeld), studying or still in school, we offer you the reduced fee of €40.- for selected courses.
Bicycle training course for beginners - Frequently asked questions:
Question: I only speak German poorly. Can I take part in the course?
Answer: Yes, you can take part in the course. The language of the course is German, but many trainers also speak some English. And other participants will help you with the language. We always have participants from many countries on our courses who help each other.
Question: Do I need to bring a bike to the course?
Answer: No. We only practise with the bikes at our school. Please do not bring your own bike to the course!
Question: I'm 55 years old. Isn't that too late to learn to cycle?
Answer: No, 55 is not too late to learn to cycle at all! In our cycling school, people between 16 and 70 start cycling.
